Albertsons decides against making Price Chopper bid

Albertsons Cos. Inc. no longer has an interest in acquiring the Price Chopper/Market 32 grocery store businesses owned by The Golub Corp, according to unnamed sources. Albertsons owns more than 2,300 stores in 35 states under its own name banner as well as others including Safeway, Shaw sand Star Market. Golub operates 130 locations in six states.
