Albertsons names former Best Buy, Williams-Sonoma exec as president and CFO

Sharon McCollam, a former Best Buy and Williams-Sonoma executive, has been named president and chief financial officer at Albertsons Co., effective Sept. 7. Ms. McCollam, will replace Bob Dimond, who is retiring. “We are entering the next phase of our transformation, centered on building deeper relationships with customers through data, technology and connected omnichannel solutions,” said Vivek Sankaran, Albertsons Cos.’ current president and CEO. “Sharon has done just this throughout her career, helping to engineer multiple retail transformations, including the spectacular turnaround of Best Buy and the digital transformation at Williams-Sonoma.”
