Albertsons may become Tom Thumb in North Texas

Albertsons, which is rebranding its nine units in Denver as Safeway locations, appears likely to convert its stores to the Tom Thumb banner in North Texas. Albertsons, which acquired Safeway and the chains it operated last year, operates 40 stores in North Texas while Tom Thumb has 56.
