Alibaba founder announces plans to step down

Jack Ma, founder and executive chairman of Alibaba, announced he would hand over the role of board chair to CEO Daniel Zhang. Mr. Ma said he would remain on the company’s board until the company’s annual shareholders meeting in 2020 while also continue to participate in his role as founding member of the Alibaba Partnership.
