Alibaba sues sellers over counterfeit watches

The Chinese e-commerce giant, which has been criticized for not doing more to stop the sale of counterfeit goods, has sued two vendors it alleges sold fake Swarovski watches on its Taobao site. Alibaba took the action two weeks after the U.S. put Taobao on its list of “notorious marketplaces” for the sale of counterfeit goods.
