Alibaba to bring mobile payment service to the U.S.

Alipay, Alibaba’s mobile payment system, will be rolled out in the U.S. after having completed pilots in California and New York. The system will compete directly with Apple Pay, Android Pay and other mobile payment options. In addition to payments, the Alipay app can be used to book hotels, buy movie tickets and hail taxis.
