Amazon blocks counterfeits from its marketplace

Amazon.com says it blocked 10 billion counterfeit product listings on its platform last year before they could be sold to shoppers. The number of items that Amazon blocked was up 67 percent over the previous year. Amazon said it spent more than $700 million last year and employed 10,000 people to combat counterfeiting on the site.
