Amazon.com, which was rumored to be a possible bidder for Whole Foods, ultimately decided against pursuing a deal, according to an unidentified source who spoke with Bloomberg News. Internal discussions about a potential role for Whole Foodsi n Amazon’s grocery plans never resulted in the e-tailer formally approaching the organic foods supermarket chain.
