Amazon Tax Passes California Assembly

A bill passed by a 47-16 margin in California’s Assembly would require retailers with a presence in the state to collect sales tax on purchases made by residents. Amazon.com is threatening to sever relationships with over 10,000 affiliates in the state if the measure becomes law.
