Amazon plans to add 2,000 employees, including software engineers, data scientists and economists, to the company’s operations in New York City. The e-tailer currently employs about 1,800 employees in its fashion photography studio in Brooklyn as well as advertising positions and brick and mortar stores. Many of the workers will move to a 360,000-square-foot development in Manhattan.
