Amazon workers seek to organize four NY warehouses
October 21, 2021
A group formed by workers at four Amazon.com warehouses on Staten Island have announced they are looking to bring about a vote on whether to organize under union representation. The group, known as the Amazon Labor Union, is planning to file a petition with the National Labor Relations Board on Oct. 25. “Workers are demanding Amazon to stop their union busting practices and allow workers to use their rights to organize towards collective bargaining without interference,” the group said in a statement. Amazon opposes a union.
