Amazon/Whole Foods to complicate competitive DFW grocery market

Whole Foods currently owns 14 grocery stores in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth market. The company’s deal to be acquired by Amazon.com will give it more clout going up against a wide array of competitors including Kroger, H-E-B’s Central Market, Tom Thumb, Albertsons, Walmart, Costco and many others.
