American Apparel CEO blames glitch for missing payroll

CEO Paula Schneider sent a letter to employees at the company’s headquarters explaining that a payroll problem last week (workers weren’t paid on time) was due to a problem with Duetsche Bank and not because of the ongoing financial challenges American Apparel faces.

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies.
