American Apparel is making clothes in Central America

American Apparel, which was bought by Gildan Activewear, is manufacturing clothes outside the U.S. for the first time in its 28-year history. The company is producing shirts in Honduras and Nicaragua. The items will include labels that say “Made in Honduras” and “Made in Nicaragua” when they appear in stores this summer.
