American teens take their cellphones to bed

Roughly 80 percent of teenagers with mobile phones keep them in their rooms at night, while a third of those bring the devices to bed with them, according to a survey of 1,000 kids and parents by Common Sense, a consumer advocacy group. Many teens reported using their phones almost immediately upon rising from bed, and right before going to bed. Some reported that they check their phones during the night.
