Apple Reducing iTunes Prices, Rolling Out New OS

Apple is cutting the price of songs without copy protection to 99 cents in response to moves made by Amazon.com and others. The company also said it was taking preorders on its new Leopard operating systems, which is due out on Oct. 26.
