    How did QR codes go from DOA to killer app?

    All true. I would add that businesses have learned to use QR codes properly. No more slapping a code in the corner of an ad and hoping for the best. Successful uses have a clear call to action:
    • scan this to pay;
    • scan this to see the menu and order;
    • scan this to connect to the wifi;
    • etc.
