This is not rocket science. I still wonder why there is even a debate, and there are countless academic papers available to help organisations make the right choices, plus of course Zeynep Ton. However, does seem to be the case that “cutting corners,” myopic thinking and the short term are too often the victors in the C-suite debates of all but companies such as Costco, Best Buy, Mercadona, Trader Joe's, etc.
