    Walmart’s customers love its low prices but still have gripes

    It's challenging to be both the low price leader, and a destination. The customers will flock to Walmart for groceries that are less expensive than the competition down the street. This is a case of "you get what you pay for." Customers who expect the lowest price should not also expect the frills and excitement that come with shopping at Target. It is noble that Walmart wants to change the perception, but at what cost? Are they willing to have stores that are more attractive to customers, yet lose the advantage of being the low price leader?

    Walmart’s new celebrity collab is its answer to Chip and Joanna Gaines’ line at Target

    This is a natural fit with the Marrs family being local to Bentonville. They will absolutely bring traffic to the stores. The problem with Walmart and any collaboration rollout is consistency among its stores. Execution is hard at scale, and in order for this to be successful enough to continue on after the initial launch it will have to be done well. The Marrs' get a short term PR boost no matter what, so for them this is a no-brainer.

    Will Amazon’s fuel surcharge irritate its marketplace sellers?

    Amazon's sheer volume of customers leaves its marketplace sellers at their mercy. The sellers do have other options, but chances are even with higher Amazon fees they still make more with Amazon overall. What goes unnoticed at times is when the other sites raise seller fees. Because they are not Amazon it does not get the same publicity, and therefore flies under the radar.
