Steven Temares, Bed Bath & Beyond’s CEO since 2003, has stepped down from the company under pressure from a group of activist investors made up of Legion Partners Asset Management, Macellum Advisors GP and Ancora Advisors. Mary Winston, a current member of the retailer’s board, has been named interim CEO as Bed Bath & Beyond begins a search for a permanent replacement.
