Bi-Lo, Winn-Dixie owner files for bankruptcy

Southeastern Grocers, which owns Bi-Lo, Fresco Y Mas, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie, has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection and announced plans to close 94 stores. The supermarket operator said it plans to reduce its debt by more than $500 million through a restructuring.
