Bill Ackman Steps Down from Penney’s Board

Activist investor Bill Ackman has resigned from J.C. Penney’s board, following demands for the resignation of Chairman Thomas Engibous and Chief Executive Myron Ullman. Ackman’s company, Pershing Square Capital Management, owns about 18 percent of Penney.
