Black Friday is dying

Black Friday has lost its promotional meaning when retailers begin offering holiday discounts well before American families sit down to watch the Macy’s parade on television. Only 35 percent of shoppers who plan to shop during Thanksgiving week will do so on Black Friday, down from 51 percent last year and 59 percent in 2015, according to PwC.
