Blue Apron, Lowe’s and Bed Bath and Beyond announce layoffs

Hundreds of jobs may be lost as companies look to align staffing with their business needs. Blue Apron is closing a facility in Jersey City, NJ and moving it to another location in state. The meal kit service said as many 470 workers may lose their jobs if they choose not to transfer. Lowe’s is laying off delivery workers as it shifts to third-party services. Bed Bath and Beyond has eliminated eight titles including department and assistant managers in its stores resulting in up to 800 job losses.
