California bill would make four-day workweeks the norm

A bill has been introduced in California that would make 32 hours the standard workweek at companies employing 500 or more workers. Employees going past 32 hours would receive double pay once they reached 44 hours. The bill doesn’t cover workers covered under collective bargaining agreements.
