Coffee companies must post cancer warnings in California

Companies selling coffee in California must post a warning label that a chemical produced in the roasting process is a possible carcinogen following a ruling by a court in Los Angeles. Starbucks and 90 other coffee companies were sued by the Council for Education and Research on Toxics that contended state law required them to alert consumers to the presence of acrylamide in their products.
