Coca-Cola is introducing new bottle caps that stay attached after opening. The change is expected to reduce the number of caps that go lost and are not recycled. The new hinged caps started rolling out yesterday in Scotland and will be adopted across the UK by 2024. The company did not indicate if the new caps would be used in the U.S.
