Target says that changes to how it uses employees in its stores have been instrumental in the chain’s recent success. “We’ve made the stores the center of what we’re doing in digital. They’ve really driven the growth. We went a little bit different path than most retailers. We went down the path of the stores are going to do the fulfillment. Huge advantage for us,” said Target COO John Mulligan.
