CVS and Walgreens tied to wasted COVID-19 vaccines

CVS and Walgreens wasted 128,500 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, more than two-thirds of 182,874 wasted doses recorded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according government figures obtained by Kaiser Health News. A CVS spokesperson, Michael DeAngelis, said that wasted doses were tied to “issues with transportation restrictions, limitations on redirecting unused doses, and other factors.”
