CVS may face fines for losing track of Rx painkillers

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the California Board of Pharmacy claim that four CVS pharmacies lost some 37,000 pills. The drugstore chain could be looking at fines totaling $29 million for failing to keep track of the drugs, which authorities believe may have been sold on the black market.
