Dick’s Sporting Goods results exceed expectations

Shares of Dick’s Sporting Goods were up more than 24 percent in early trading after the chain posted earnings of 59 cents per share, up from 52 cents during the same period last year. The chain also increased its full-year earnings outlook as its new product, private label and online sales picked up.
