A Busy Holiday Shoplifting Season Ahead

Retailers were ripped-off to the tune of $10 billion last year and many security experts are advising vigilance for the busy holiday shoplifting season ahead, says an article in today’s Dayton (OH) Daily News.


“For many, the holidays are a season for giving. But for the shoplifter, it’s a season for taking,” said Pola Gupta, Ph.D., assistant professor of marketing, Wright State University. “It’s an important time for retailers, but also for the shoplifter.”
