Driverless cars hit the streets of San Francisco

Waymo has been given permission to operate fully automated cars on the streets of San Francisco. The division of Alphabet will begin offering free rides in the vehicles to its own employees from 10:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. Waymo plans to expand the service around the clock.
