Economist says e-commerce is a retail job producer, not killer

Current conventional wisdom says the growth of online shopping has led to a cut in the number of stores and associated retail jobs. Michael Mandel, chief economist at the Progressive Policy Institute, said that the classifications used by others to determine job losses is faulty and doesn’t properly account for gains made in fulfillment centers and distribution warehouses.
