Executives sue McD’s for racial discrimination
January 10, 2020
Vicki Guster-Hines and Domineca Neal, two senior executives at McDonald’s, claim in a lawsuit that the company engaged in “a ruthless purge” of black executives working for the fast-food giant after former CEO Steve Easterbrook and current CEO Chris Kempczinski joined the business. The suit claims that McDonald’s went from 42 black executives to seven between 2014 and 2019. The suit also alleges that the number of black-owned franchisees dropped dramatically during the same period.
