Facebook takes a hit, FTC said to consider injunction

Facebook’s stock fell sharply yesterday on reports from people familiar with the matter that the Federal Trade Commission may try to block the social media platform from integrating messaging services that it owns, namely WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Instagram. The FTC is presumed to be concerned that the integration of those services would make an eventual breakup of Facebook more difficult.
