Farmers fight counterfeit organic imports

Sales of organic foods have more than doubled in the U.S. over the past decade. Farmland used to raise crops that are certified organic have only increased one percent in that time. Imports from foreign countries have moved in to fill the gap between demand and supply. Unfortunately, not all items marked as organic are correct, with counterfeit products showing up in American ports.

Waffle House Workers Strike for Fair Pay and Better Working Conditions

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies. Led by the Union of Southern Service Workers (USSW), Waffle House employees are demanding an end to the mandatory “meal credit” deductions from their paychecks, along with better wages and improved working conditions.
