FCC does a 180, will allow ISPs to sell customer data

Last October, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under President Obama established a policy to prevent internet service providers (ISPs) from selling the personal information of consumers without permission. The agency also established rules that would require ISPs to protect private data and notify consumers in the case of their personal information had been compromised by hackers. Yesterday, the FCC suspended the previously adopted rules before they went into effect.
