FedEx won’t make express deliveries for Amazon

FedEx announced that it has chosen not renew an express shipping deal with Amazon.com, preferring to focus on “serving the broader e-commerce market” instead. The shipping service has built up a significant business with Target, Walgreens and Walmart and is making a strategic bet that those customers and others will continue to grow their businesses to the point of offsetting whatever growth may have come from Amazon. FedEx said that Amazon accounts for 1.3 percent of its total revenue.
