Former drug dealers find success at grocery chain

Jeffrey Brown, founder and chief executive of Brown’s Super Stores Inc., which operates 13 stores under the ShopRite and Fresh Grocer banners, has discovered that employees who were once drug dealers have the requisite skills to move up the corporate ladder. Mr. Brown’s company began a program of hiring former convicts in 2008.
