Frontline workers continue to labor under pandemic stress and threat
The Wall Street Journal 02/02/2021Joyce Babineau, a 67-year-old associate working at a Stop & Shop store in Massachusetts, blames herself for the death of her husband Paul, who died from COVID-19 despite precautions she took to guard against transmitting the disease. Today, she walks to her fireplace mantel to a container holding her husband’s ashes. “I talk to him and tell him I’m sorry,” she says. “Because I brought it home.”
