FTC close to making decision on Walgreens/Rite Aid deal

The Federal Trade Commission is expected to vote on Walgreens’ proposed acquisition of Rite Aid on Thursday. A report yesterday by the trade publication CTFN citing unnamed sources said the FTC was likely to approve the deal. Other reports have said the deal will not go through.
