Gildan wins auction for American Apparel

Gildan Activewear with a bid of around $88 million has won a bankruptcy auction for American Apparel. The Canadian company is acquiring the American Apparel brand and some of its manufacturing operations in the deal. American Apparel’s 110 stores are not part of the deal.
