Hampton Creek promises real chicken made without killing any birds
September 21, 2017
Josh Tetrick, CEO of Hampton Creek, has promised that the company will sell chicken fingers made from bird feathers cultured in a laboratory by the end of next year. The chicken, he said, will be “100 percent meat” and taste “as good as the best chicken on the planet.” Experts in the field are not convinced that Hampton Creek has solved the technological challenges that have kept others from creating so-called clean meat.
