Henri Bendel has seen traffic to its New York City flagship rise following news that the retailer will close its doors in January, 123 years after it got its start. L Brands, which acquired the luxury retailer in 1985, is closing all 23 Bendel stores along with its website to concentrate on larger chains under its ownership.
