Hibbett Sports warns of ‘very challenging’ sales trends

Hibbett Sports, which operates about 1,000 locations, expects its same-store sales to decline about 10 percent in the second quarter. Shares in the company fell $6.37 to $13.32 yesterday. The stock price of rivals in the category, including Dick’s Sporting Goods, Finish Line, and Foot Locker, fell more than four percent in trading yesterday, as well.
