H&M to slow pace of new store openings

Hennes & Mauritz AB, which previously had a goal of opening 10 to 15 percent more stores around the globe every year, now plans to focus on growing its store and online businesses in local markets that will support them. The company, which has grown opening stores in emerging markets, has recently struggled in more strong markets including China, Europe and the U.S.
