Holiday sales down, profits up for Best Buy

Best Buy posted a 27 percent gain in profits during the consumer electronic chain’s fourth quarter despite comparable store sales declining 0.9 percent. Online sales improved 17.5 percent during the period. The chain forecast a decline in same-store sales for the first quarter on expected slow sales in mobile phones and other categories.
