Howard Schultz hands over Starbucks CEO role to successor
The Seattle Times 03/22/2017Howard Schultz is no longer the chief executive of the company he transformed into a global coffee empire. That position now belongs to Kevin Johnson, who was handpicked by Mr. Schultz to lead the company. Mr. Schultz will remain with Starbucks as the company’s executive chairman. He plans to focus his efforts on the company’s high-end businesses including its Roasteries concept.
