In NY’s Soho, the retail real estate bubble is bursting

Earlier this decade, trendy boutiques and national chain stores fought for space in Manhattan’s Soho district, propelling prices to an annual $860 a square foot in 2014. But retailers such as Old Navy are calling it quits, leaving 16 vacancies within a six-block stretch of Broadway within the heart of the area.

Waffle House workers in Conyers, Georgia, are now on their third day of striking over what they call the company’s unfair policies.
